Suzhou, China – Interactive technology leader Alterface has launched Action League Popcorn Revenge at Suzhou Paradise Forest World, marking the debut of its Action League attraction in China.
The innovative, tournament-style attraction combines ultra-dynamic multi-axis rotation with competitive gameplay, offering a new level of interactive entertainment for family entertainment centres (FECs) and location-based entertainment (LBE) venues.
China Debut for Popcorn Revenge IP
Action League, winner of the 2021 IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best New Product Concept, delivers a multi-round interactive experience. Players engage in a series of challenges that feel fresh with every round, thanks to a dynamic rotation system that constantly reshuffles teams.
The Popcorn Revenge Compact Edition, specifically designed for LBE venues, was selected for Candy World—Suzhou Paradise Forest World’s three-floor indoor entertainment zone. The attraction is designed to be space-efficient and cost-effective while maintaining a high level of interactivity. It operates within a 200-square-metre footprint and accommodates between 240 to 360 visitors per hour.
Alterface’s Popcorn Revenge IP, known for its blend of humour, action, and friendly competition, has already gained popularity in Europe and Japan. This installation marks its first appearance in China, appealing to players of all ages.
Immersive Theming and Strategic Partnership
At Candy World, the attraction features a semi-open layout and vibrant custom theming. With bold pink tones and eye-catching design elements, it seamlessly integrates into the colourful Candy World aesthetic.
The launch is the result of a collaboration between Alterface and Jiangsu Boren Culture Technology, combining Alterface’s expertise in interactive entertainment with Boren’s deep understanding of the Chinese market.
“Our partnership with Boren has been instrumental in bringing Action League to life in China,” said Stephane Battaille, CEO of Alterface. “Through this collaborative approach, we’ve introduced a world-first attraction, and we are excited about its potential for expansion into other markets.”
Mr. Gu, CEO of Boren, echoed this sentiment: “This collaboration showcases the true power of teamwork. We are confident that this project will provide endless fun for visitors at Candy World and look forward to bringing it to more locations.”
Alterface continues to innovate, recently launching new service packages aimed at helping clients develop cutting-edge interactive experiences.
