PRINCETON, W.Va. (WVVA) — As warmer weather signals the arrival of spring, Princeton City Park is undergoing a series of upgrades aimed at enhancing accessibility, safety, and entertainment for visitors.

Among the most notable improvements is the installation of a new ADA-compliant restroom facility, designed to complement the park’s inclusive playground for children of all abilities.

The park’s multiuse stage has also received a technological boost with the addition of new sound equipment and lighting. These upgrades will be on display during the upcoming “Music in the Park” summer concert series.

Parking improvements are also underway. The handicap-accessible section has been expanded, and new wooden bollards have been installed to better define parking areas.

Recreational features are being refreshed as well. A new diving board has been added to the park’s pool, while the 18-hole disc golf course is receiving what city officials describe as “enhancements.”

Maintenance efforts continue across the grounds, including repairs to the rock walkway and the removal of fallen trees, brush, and other debris to ensure a clean and safe environment.

The park is open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday.
