German ride manufacturer HUSS Park Attractions continues to strengthen its footprint in the Chinese amusement industry, supplying over 45 attractions to the region in the past 20 years.
Among its latest installations are two standout rides: the family-oriented King Kong at Fantasy Valley Xiangyang and the adrenaline-pumping Top Spin Suspended at Happy Valley Nanjing.
‘Wrath of the Yeti’ Draws Families at Fantasy Valley Xiangyang
At OCT Fantasy Valley in Xiangyang, HUSS introduced its popular King Kong attraction, rebranded locally as Wrath of the Yeti. Located in the Kunlun Fairyland-themed area, the ride has quickly become a guest favorite, frequently featured in social media posts and visitor check-ins.
The ride combines dynamic motion with theatrical storytelling. Inspired by the classic King Kong films, the attraction features a giant animatronic gorilla that appears to lift the gondola—carrying up to 24 passengers—into the air. The ride is powered by a hydraulic system, initiating with guests boarding the gondola at ground level. As the gorilla figure rises, it gently swings the gondola, simulating a thrilling but family-friendly experience.
Once the gondola reaches the creature’s head, the experience is enhanced by immersive special effects including sound, mist, glowing eyes, and vibrating seats. Despite its impressive 12.7-meter height, the attraction is compact, occupying a footprint of just 11.3 by 9.5 meters.
‘Perfect Storm’ Brings Suspended Thrills to Happy Valley Nanjing
Meanwhile, HUSS has also delivered a Top Spin Suspended ride, branded Perfect Storm, to OCT Happy Valley in Nanjing. Situated in the park’s Forest Mysterious Area, the ride adds high-intensity thrills to the lineup.
The Top Spin Suspended model is a next-generation version of HUSS’s globally popular Top Spin ride. Featuring 38 back-to-back seats in a floorless gondola, the setup allows for a heightened sense of freedom and excitement. Riders experience a range of motion sequences, including pendulum swings, 360-degree rotations, sudden stops, and multiple spins around the suspension axis. A variety of special effects further enhance the sensory experience.
The Nanjing installation follows recent international additions such as the Toxicator ride at Alton Towers Resort in the UK, noted as the tallest of its kind.
HUSS Park Attractions’ continued success in China underscores the appeal of its innovative ride designs, offering both immersive family experiences and high-thrill adventures tailored to diverse audiences.
