Dundee Heritage Trust has revealed a significant reduction in the entry fees for Verdant Works Museum and Discovery Point, alongside the introduction of several new ticketing options designed to make visiting the city’s key attractions more affordable.
The new offerings include the Off-Peak Pass, Unlimited Pass, and Explore More Pass. A Flexible Family Pass has also been introduced, offering families with children a more cost-effective way to explore the museums.
The Off-Peak Pass grants visitors access to either Verdant Works or Discovery Point during off-peak periods for a full year from the date of purchase. The Unlimited Pass provides entry to one museum of choice, available during both peak and off-peak periods for a year. Meanwhile, the Explore More Pass allows access to both museums for a full year, also covering both peak and off-peak times.
Ashleigh Pink, Commercial Director at Dundee Heritage Trust, expressed enthusiasm about the changes: “We are thrilled to announce a reduction in our admission prices at both Discovery Point and Verdant Works, making it easier for everyone to experience the rich history and culture we offer at our award-winning attractions.”
Pink also highlighted the introduction of the Flexible Family Pass: “Our new Flexible Family Pass grants unlimited admission all year round, ensuring that families can explore at their own pace. With our off-peak and unlimited tickets, we’re excited to welcome even more visitors to enjoy our unique attractions.”
Proceeds from the ticket sales will support the Trust’s ongoing restoration efforts of the iconic RRS Discovery ship and the Verdant Works mill, both vital pieces of Dundee’s heritage.
In addition to the new pricing, the Dundee Heritage Trust also announced a series of spring exhibitions and events. These include the latest installment of the International Garden Photographer of the Year Exhibition, a performance of John Quinn’s play on Dundonian heritage, and a variety of family-friendly activities at Discovery Point.
